Summer is for Exploring
Throwback to shots during a few of our explorations. It’s amazing how much hidden beauty can be found right under the nose if you actually look. We started exploring during Covid and have carried on ever since, weather permitting. Lock down forced us out of our comfort zone like many. No longer could we frequent many places we had grown accustomed to, others we had to avoid. The lock down era was bitter and sweet wasn't it? During that time we changed the way we did everything.
At this point in life I had recently acquired an older Olympus camera and was out testing it. I have a love of old DSLR cameras, I also have a Canon and Nikon camera. I've been a hobby photographer near 20 years. I don't strive to be the best nor want to do it for work as some have suggested. I am more interested in capturing the moment, to create and keep memories.

We both love nature hikes, my husband is a fair weather fisherman. I go with him but will wander off exploring nature looking for shadows, lighting, and any wildlife I can photograph. People are interesting to capture but then there is a digital privacy issue, so often my husband becomes my best subject. Photography is exciting yet relaxing, the moment stands still once I click the shutter button.
